just a thought has anyone looked into a twin turbo set up and or a stroker kit for the 6t yet? i'm very keen on running the set up of tt with a 35/40 with a .62 rear housing and a larger second turbo maybe t88 with a 1.22 rear housing i dunno im just a man with a passion and a dream but what do you guys the pro's in ford tunning think,
There's a guy on another XR6T forum who is preparing to spend about 12-15K on a rebuild. I think (too lazy to search right now) that he is aiming for 600bhp. That's with a single turbo and no change in computer.
You would need:
* Rods
* Pistons (seriously doubt cast pistons would cope)
* serious transmission work
* new turbo manifold
* new exhaust/cat etc
* bigger intercooler
.. as well as all the retuning of the car for the two turbos.
Point is, I don't think the limits of the single turbo have been found yet
Simon's (from Xtreme Ford Tuning) own F6 Typhoon is making 425 rwkw and the standard turbo is out of puff not. With that kind of power from a standard turbo i couldnt see any reason to twin turbo one...
NIZPRO single turboed a XR6 to 1200 horsepower for a PR exersize.
2 engines were built: 1 was the dyno king. the other went into a road car.
after about 160km/h it would to start to burst into wheelspin... are you sure you want a twin turbo set-up now?
