Aftermarket HID's?

i searched, didnt turn up much. partly because HID is 3 letters and thats too short...

What do I need to know about HID's and the milan? i dont want any messages on the display telling me to check my headlight, gets old fast. i just want to get some 6k hid kits for the low and fogs. any brand or sellers to look for?

Re: Aftermarket HID's?

I think trying to get the HID look is overrated. On my vehicles that age, I recondition the headlights (sand the yellow off and polish), and put in Silverstar bulbs from Sylvania. They're buch better than the standard halogen and you won't get in trouble from the lawman for running them as it's just a brighter white light.

Re: Aftermarket HID's?

i wasnt looking for the HID "look" per say, the car is my DD, I love the car and i just want to be able to see whats in front of me that little bit better.

however i do need to refurb the finish on my right headlight so it looks pretty like the recently replaced drivers side.. keep hearing plast-x is the way to go.

Re: Aftermarket HID's?

Recently I wanted a High Intensity Discharge kit for my 1986 FORD F150 which is a very cool light and better visibility especially during night driving. I opted to go with the single beam HID kit too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty so I got it here Sealed Beam Headlight Kits , or you can try one of the vendors. Also some of the forum sponsors selling Headlight Kits usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great system, and very easy to install.
