Ford hints it may bring Fusion multi-activity vehicle to U.S.

Could Ford sell its Fusion multi-activity vehicle mover in the USA?
Nick Scheele, former Ford of Europe chairman and now president and chief operating officer of Ford Motor Co., said: "I happen to believe the answer is 'yes.' "
The Fusion's sport-utility looks would certainly suit the US market. But Scheele said as long as there's such a big difference in fuel prices between Europe and the USA, European-style small cars won't sell well across the Atlantic.
"I think you can do it [in the USA] with C-segment [Focus] cars and maybe in the C- and D-segments ... but Europe is increasingly centered on B-segment [supermini] cars, small engines and diesels. The USA is clearly centered on SUVs, pickup trucks and V-8 engines. Those things are going to continue to divide the markets. The crossover points are relatively few."
