Possible valve body problem, or contaminants in the fluid restricting fluid passage through the valve body. If the problem is intolerable and gets worse, you might be best off to get a transmission flush done, where all the fluid is evacuated and fresh fluid is installed. Worst case is that the transmission fails and a new unit is required. Best case, is that the flush dislodges the particles and restores the transmission to working order. I'd put it at 50/50. Hopefully someone more involved with Ford Transmissions will chime in.
