Po732 and po734 codes

My 2008 ford fusion skips 2nd and 4th gear. I've had the solenoids swapped out and it didnt do the trick. The car still runs fine except it runs at higher rpms. Some shops will tell me new transmission right off the bat. I don't have the money so I'm hoping there is a cheaper alternative.

Re: Po732 and po734 codes

Both diagnostics have these possible causes in common.:

- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Shift solenoids
- Transmission mechanical problems
- Transmission hydraulic control circuit

You said you swapped out the solenoids, I'm assuming with new ones, so that can be ruled out. How's your fluid look? Have you ever changed it and the filter?

The fluid is clean. Someone also suggested that it might be a broken band

Re: Po732 and po734 codes

I'd assume that you would have more problems with a broken band. The filter still remains in question. If you've had the fluid changed, or you bought it used, often a fluid change is done by pumping out the old and pouring the new in. The filter never gets looked at or changed. Given the price of a transmission, it's probably worth the price/hassle of draining it, dropping the pan and changing the filter.

without knowing what transmission you have it's very hard to help you.
