Sport Shift

My daughter and son in law have a 13 Fusion with the Ecoboost and Sportshift package. It's got a great warranty, but I was wondering if the Sportshift was working properly. If you're driving aggressively, you have to shift about 1000 rpm before it will actually shift. In normal automatic, it seems to shift properly and in reading the manual, they talk more of down shifting, not shifting up. I drove maybe an 08 that had the Sportshift, and it pretty much went up and down with a tap of the lever. Anybody got an insight?

And, yeah, I recommended taking it into Ford, but they told me it was no big deal. I just don't want it to snowball into something else.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?

Re: Sport Shift

Never drove one but tend to agree with you on gearshifts .Maybe a software update available? Getting it checked out at dealership will mean that it's logged in system and reported if any faults down the line , keeping you covered.Tiptronic shifts on cars over here are usually instantanious and excellent with no lag.
