It does, unless the gas cap is not original so doesn't fit somehow.
There should be a space to set it in the hinge on the filler door.

Right on, James. I guess this "Adam" has had his gas cap on the roof at
filling stations for 14 years. ( If he got the 240 new.)

We didn't get it new, we were the third owners. Which explains it.
