No way, the fenders are quite different owing to different hood profiles.

Are you sure? The late 760's look exactly like 940's from the front to me.

The difference is where the fender, hood and windshield intersect. The
760/960 type has a detail for the semi hidden wipers, the 740/940 have
the exposed wiper and the painted grill panel at the windshield base.
The fly in the ointment is the '91 940SE which was really a 960 with the
turbo 4, which uses the 760/960 type hood and fenders.

Ah, for some reason I thought the late 740's went to that same arrangement,
guess not.
I may have a gold painted Front Left (driver) fender for a '90 760 for
sale real soon...just had to know it was too good to be true! Bidding
starts at $0.01 + actual shipping from Orlando Florida!!!!
On another note, does anyone know where I should look for the same,
Front Left Fender for a '91 945? Could use a hood too. The Trifecta
would be both in the Gold paint!

Any fender from a 90+ 740 or 940 will fit.
I'd check Sweden Auto Warehouse in Sacramento, Erie Vovo in New York,
Voluparts in Atlanta, etc. I'd expect to pay about $120-$150.
Check car-part.com for less specialized yards that are perhaps closer to
where you live.

If tou can get your insurance company to let you speak with an adjuster,
they have all the numbers for all the junkyards in you area that provide
their approved body shops with LKQ (Like Kind Quality) parts.
