Defender section underconstruction - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Please be advised that there will be a defender section added.

Could you please make suggestions as to which models this section should include.

I think it should include:

Landrover 90 & 110 and Landrover Defender 90 & 110.

You could also add a section for those with Series Landrovers, ie: 1948 to 1985 Series 1, 2 & 3.

This is reported to be the first Landrover to be imported to New Zeland, a 1948 Series 1.
This photo was taken in Scotland during the round the world trip this Landrover (and its owners) undertook as part of the Landrover's 50th birthday. It's still in New Zeland as far as I know.

well now we are getting somewhere :)
its always good i feel when we can share picts of our babies from around the world.
i will be checking this out every day now and i hope it can grow into something that is good for landrover aand its owners.

From what I can remember, I think it was August 1998. Thier trip started and finished in New Zeland and was covered on a monthly basis in LROi magazine. :s6:

Yeah it was covered by LROi a bit ago, quite good to.
I remember one story run over 2 issues, a couple in a 109 doing a bit of overlanding... left the first part of the story with next month Disaster... next month arrived the story contiues, problems with the gear box.... thats not the disaster, then in the last paragraph driving along, road gave way, rolled to the bottom of hill, chopped the blokes legs off. The story went something along those lines and the bloke did lose leg-legs after a role!!

Very moving story...

Hubber that is one helluva tidy Land Rover.I'm gunna learn a bit about LR's in here.
