My bus has developed a curious noise like caught plastic when I rotate the steering wheel quickly.

The noise is only audible from the cab but I can find no cause for it.

Took the airbag out, the binnacle apart and nothing is loose.

Any suggestions?

My '98 disco did that too, they wanted some astronomical amount for a new wheel to fix it too but I just put up with it until I traded it in a couple of months later.

Thanks for the info.

I'm told I can source the part for £17.

Only pain is shifting the Air bag to get at the wheel boss.

Going to replace it simply because I think it is near to jamming.

Try calling Equicar, don't have the number to hand but they advertise in most of the Mags, they may have second hand one that will be cheaper than new.

I'm off to the local breakers and will fit this weekend.

A little suspicious around the air bag but the noise is not getting any better and will soon jam.
