petrol tank off...

I'm replacing the petrol pump on my 110, and in true style, it's a
bugger! I've replaced the 8 anti-roll bar mount bolts, and cleaned and
freed off the two big ones, all good, although it was two and a half
weekends to do that! SO I star tt cleaning the tank bolts at the front,
soak 'em in WD, and attempt removal. Can't get a
spanner/socket/crowsfoot spanner on it, so, fag and a head scratch,
consult the various diagrams the dealer printed off for me, and come to
the conclusion that some half-witted bottom-feeding scumsucking git has
been there before me, and put the bloody lockwasher on the wrong way
round! So now I'm well stuffed.THe reason I'm replacing the pump, is
that the top spigot has gone porous, and leaks petrol when the pump is
powered, so I'm not fancying the idea of high speed cutting tools near
it. It' beginning to look like a full tank drain and steam, so I *can*
use a drill on the bugger, oh well, the joys of landy ownership....

Disgruntled from Doonatheel.

I seem to remember these were a bit awkward to get at.
This is the bolt on the upper side of the bracket?
I seem to remember attacking those with a cold chisel, ar at least
wedging the bolt with a chisel.

Memory is a big vague, probably cause the job is, as you say, a bit of
a PITA.
