My S111 swb did that when it needed a new clutch and the flywheel skimmed.

I thought that as well, but know knowing how a leafsprung jobbie
should sit... Didn't notice a list.

they all do that sir...

seriosuly, the factory tolerance for body height is something silly like an
inch.

It might be non-level terrain - it look slike it's been washed (or something
has) and the water appears to have run off in one direction. Most people's
concrete yards are not completely level, if they've any sense.

as to sitting low at the back, prolly just old springs. Anyhow, all those
sort of things I can fix quite easily - if it's cheap enough, I could put
parabollocks on it.

That's be handy. Don't need pictures unless you discover something horrible
about the chassis, say, really. The bit that bothers me is the gearbox
clunk, and the chap selling it is either not sufficiently clued or not
sufficiently helpful - described symptoms are not conclusive.

I'm not about to pay big money if the gearbox needs rebuilding or replacing,
but if it's running well enough to drive it home it'd be easier than
trailering it. Depends really what the reserve is - with a questionable
gearbox, if it's in good nick otherwise, it's worth having cheap.

I still hope to get one nearer home, but that might have either too high a
reserve (bloke hasn't said) and/or get bid up to high anyway.

a replacement series gearbox is not a costly item, and you could swap
it in a day...

I had a clonky gearbox in my 2A (it was a constant clonking which was
related to speed). It started happening after i did an emergency stop
with my handbrake (I dropped down to a low gear too) and i was
assuming it was something inside the transfer box (still got noise
when towed with the main box in neutral)
..
However, one of my mates went to nick a bit from the inside of my old
box the other week (it was still dumped in my mates yard) and said
that the main box was very impressively full of swarf - so there could
have been something up in there.

I wouldnt be too worried about the clonk - they all make funny noises!
