The new Range Rover has proved so popular that Land Rover is upping production to meet the higher than expected demand.
Although the revised flagship model doesn't actually go on sale across Europe until tomorrow, an extra 17 per cent will be built each week to help cut waiting lists. Production of the new 4x4 is expected to safeguard 650 jobs at Land Rover's Solihull plant.
Great news about the jobs too. Lasts weeks sun reported 300 pre orders already for Aust. Not the best news fof SUv haters, but good for Ford in their attempt to get the Land Rover brand back in the black
Excellent news! Must admit as a bloke that wasn't too fussed on the Rangie before, I reckon the new one looks great.
Good to see Land Rover having a win..
Agree with you whole heartedly!!! Some of the new diesel engines seem to be so good in the reduction of pollutants.
I read some time ago that a Volvo they were working on had purer air out of the exhaust pipe than went into the engine. That was in Diesel Car which does not usually get it wrong.
You will not be surprised to know I have driven diesels for 12 years now.
