Re: Help, knocking/rattling sound on Defender 90
My husband and I hear a knocking sound also but we've been told by two
different shops that we need to replace the small block. One mechanic said
that it looks like it was driven without oil and the engine locked up. Then
the dealership or someone else forceable unlocked it and sold it (to us).
We already put $3k into repairs and car rental expenses and it's still going
to take another $3k to replace the small block with a used one. Yuck!! My
husband doesn't want to get rid of it though. I don't blame him. It's a
