With turbo, gear & TX box, not making much at the minute. He wants �280 for the whole lot, could be
useful for a rebuild out of the car whilst keeping mobile!

I presume it's an LT77 & 230 TX box. I think I'll stick a bid on it, it's gonna be heavy, would I be able
to chuck it in the back of the 110? If not I'll borrow a big van.

Do Ashcroft & folk like them buy just second hand boxes etc with no purchase from them etc?

The TDi engines can be a bit iffy I read? Anything that can be checked off the car?

Have a look at the engine, gearbox and transfer box numbers. Have they
been ground off, over-stamped and do they make sense. �280 seems
remarkably cheap.....

then isn't it a TD engine (it's from a B-reg land rover)? Known as the
Diesel Turbo.
Tdi's arrived in 1990-ish I think.
Maybe the OP knows this and wants a spare cheap engine in the shed for a
rainy day, but I don't know.
