I’ve recently bought a '83 jaguar xj6 but to be honest it's not a true jag, it’s got a Chevy 350 under it's hood, I lucked out there. But the problem I face is that my rear divers side caliper has froze, my brake pad is worn down to the metal and my roter has decided to get it's groove on. I have found cheap replacements for it, but I can't seem to figure out a way to actually change them. So please help.

so its the irs right rear caliper ?
jack and remove , you need a manual as its not for the feint hearted , I suggest you google the Jag clubs as I have dont it one my jags but its hard yaka for the inexperienced .
Doe to the inboard brakes of this model, this is rather a difficult task- requires several hours labour by an experienced mechanic. I believe you'll have to drop the rear suspension- it uses the drive shafts as the upper links (as with IRS jags at least to the XJ40). Then probably disconnect both shafts and remove brakes. Please don't follow my instuctions though- this is basically an educated guess from a bit of reading.
I'd stongly suggest buying the Haynes manual for your car- $50 at repco, and will have all this sort of thing in there.
Good luck...
