Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover North America Reports An All-time Record Sales Month

Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover North America today reports record month sales in the United States for the organization, totaling 10,077 vehicles. This marks the first time in history that the British Brands have exceeded 10,000 sales in a month. Jaguar set an all-time monthly sales record totaling 6,238 cars sold, with Jaguar X-TYPE sales leading the way, totaling 3,397. Land Rover sales totaled 3,790 vehicles sold, making this the best August ever for the Land Rover brand. Range Rover set its second consecutive best month ever with monthly sales totaling 1,227, an increase of 30 percent from the same month last year.

"XJ and Range Rover sales remain strong in the US," said Doug Speck, vice president of retail operations for Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover North America. "And, we are very pleased to see X-TYPE and Discovery sales up this month as well. 2003 is proving to be an impressive year for the British Brands, and we are looking forward to finishing out the year with a strong footing in the luxury market."

The Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover organization has sold 61,372 vehicles year-to-date. Jaguar reports 36,062 cars sold year-to-date, with XJ sales up three percent from the same period last year. Land Rover year-to-date sales total 24,938 vehicles, with Range Rover sales up 35 percent year-to-date.
