Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover North America today reports April sales totaling 6,762 vehicles sold for the organization in the US. Land Rover reports a record April with sales totaling 2,916 vehicles sold. The marque's previous best April was in 2002 when it sold 2,775 units. Range Rover sales totaled 749, up 269 percent from the same period last year. The previous best April for the model was in 1999 when 543 units were sold. Jaguar monthly sales totaled 3,792 cars, down 30 percent from last year.

"Land Rover, and the Range Rover model, continue with record sales," comments Doug Speck, vice president of Retail Operations for Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover North America. "We look forward to continued strong growth this quarter as we prepare to showcase the all-new Jaguar XJ in US retailer showrooms."

The Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover organization sold a total of 26,094 vehicles to date. Jaguar sold 14,649 cars, and Land Rover sales total 11,281 vehicles to date.

ASTON MARTIN JAGUAR LAND ROVER CANADA REPORTS APRIL SALES

Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada announces sales for the month of April totaling 315 units, down 18 per cent compared with the same period last year. Jaguar sales for the month totaled 192 cars, down 14 per cent compared with April last year. The XJ was the best performer, up 17 per cent compared with the same month last year. Land Rover sales total 123 units for the month of April, down 24 per cent compared with same period last year.

�The current model year XJ did well this month, and after positive feedback from the Global launch of the 2004 XJ in March, we expect sales to dramatically increase when it goes on sale in June," said Bruce Rosen, vice president of Sales for Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada.

Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada sold 1,159 vehicles year-to-date, down 18 per cent from last year. Jaguar reports a decrease in year-to-date sales of 10 per cent compared with last year, totaling 697 units sold. Land Rover's year-to-date sales fell 27 per cent from last year, with 462 vehicles sold.
