CAN: Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Reports October Sales
Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada announces Jaguar sales for the month of October are up 46 per cent compared with the same month last year, totaling 292 units. The new Jaguar S-TYPE leads this month's sales with 121 units sold, an increase of 112 per cent compared with the same month last year. Land Rover sold 155 vehicles in October, down 18 per cent compared with the same period last year.
"Although S-TYPE sales were strong this month, we're also pleased to see the new XJ showing strong sales," said Vic Bernardini, president of Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada. "We can expect that with continued improvement in economic conditions along with our impressive product line up, that we will see a strong November and December and good performance overall for Jaguar and Land Rover for the past year."
Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada sold 3,435 vehicles year-to-date, down 17 per cent compared with the same period last year. Jaguar reports a decrease in year-to-date sales of 5 per cent compared with the same period last year, totaling 2,137 units sold. Land Rover's year-to-date sales fell 31 per cent compared with year-to-date sales during this period in 2002, with 1,298 vehicles sold.
