Who better to pen a Road Test on the all-new Aston Martin DB9 than our man in England, Contributing Editor Ian Norris. Prestige and performance, reports the author, are what Astons are all about. Always have been, and, we hope, always will.
First the prestige: Aluminum-bezeled dials, supple leather hides and your choice of either bamboo, mahogany or walnut-trimmed interior, all contained within a form that is modern but elegantly Aston Martin. Park the DB9 next to a decades-old DB5 and their lineage would be instantly recognizable.
As for performance, the ancestry of Aston Martin’s high-performance past remains intact in this new model: large slotted disc brakes; a smooth, lightning-quick-shifting 6-speed transmission operated via paddles; and a 5.9-liter 450-bhp V-12 lend the DB9 brawn that more than matches the beauty.

My first car was a 67 Mustang Coupe, 2nd one was a 67 Cougar XR-7, 3rd one was a 66 Mustang Coupe. Why did I get rid of these cars for ? I know why, because I'm stupid, stupid, stupid.
My next Ford.....
