292 truck engine to car engine??

Will a 292 out of a f600 grain truck run fine in a 59 ford car? Was the compression different on the grain truck engines, different cams? The car 292 is stuck but found this freed up 292 truck engine.

The 292 truck engine will run fine if you hang it off your back yard swing on a chain.
Putting it in a car is a different story. Need a lot more info.

Externally, the bellhousing pattern is the same. The truck engine had a yoke or saddle that bolts to the timing cover and attaches to the front mount but the block should have the bolt holes on the sides for car mounts, so it is a bolt-in swap (you may have to use the car exhaust manifolds which also fit the truck heads).
The differences between car and truck engine are internal. The trucks had a forged steel crankshaft instead of cast, the rods are shorter so matching pistons are required, and the exhaust valves are sodium filled for extra cooling, which meaans the stem diameter is larger (7/16" instead of 11/32). None of this matters unless you plan an overhaul.
PS The truck engine originally had a governor which used a special carb and distributor. The simplest thing to do is use the car intake, carb and distributor, which all interchange.
