Hi,

Ive got a 61 f100 with a 292 that needs rebuilding. I know the y block is not a performance engine, but is there anything i can do that will increase performance. e.g. Shave heads, lumpy cams. Because i live in Australia it is very hard to find any parts to suit.

Any surrgestions as to where i can find parts on the internet, or any surrgestions as to what i should do to the engine itself would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, the best factory parts for a 292 Ford come from a 1957 model. I use the heads, [ECZ-G] exhaust manifolds, cam, large base four barrel intake manifold, and distributor.
