SHANGHAI (Reuters) -- Ford Motor Co. said today that thanks to its locally-made Ford sedan, it sold 86.6 percent more vehicles in China in 2006 than the previous year.
Ford said it sold 166,722 vehicles here last year, 77,360 units more than in 2005.
Changan Ford Mazda Automobile, Ford's tie-up with Mazda Motor Corp. and Changan Automobile Co. Ltd., saw its sales jump 112.7 percent to 129,790 vehicles last year, with sales of its mid-range Focus totalling 78,430 units.
