Re: Au T3 LPG

Well I stand corrected. But I thought it was easier to extract power from petrol, and petrol has a higher torque output to boot.

On a performance vehicle I would assume having gas would drop resale value as it may wear the engine at a faster rate and produce less power.

If depreciation is accelerated then overall you may not save much over the longer term. My 2 cents worth.

Re: Au T3 LPG

Looking at it simply engines dont wear as fast as LPG does not dilute oil on the bores like wet fuel (washes it away). Bores are better off with LPG.

Re: Au T3 LPG

lpg un like petrol soes not pruduce carbon when its burnt and also does not wash oil off the cylinders as petrol does. oil stays as clean as the day u put it in when running straight gas. timeing can also be advanced due to the high octain of lpg lgp can also alow for more boost on turbo/super charged engines due again to its better octain. one disadvantage tho is 50 liters of gas wont go as far as 50 liters of petrol but till prety close and for the price of lpg per liter your on a winner . but i wouldent convert unless i was keeping the car for a while ie not changeing cars every 2/3 years as it wont pay for its self. and as im about to post this i notice tonyk has be me to it i need to type faster

Take alook at the specs of the AU Petrol vs LPG models. You'll find that although the LPG model makes fewer kW, it produces a higher max torque at lower RPM than the petrol model.
