Dedicated LPG Wagon economy
Had the AUII Wagon now for a few weeks and I thought I'd post some consumption figures.... since I couldn't find any apart from fords own figures when I was window shopping.
880km using 208 litres of SHELL LPG gives, using my calculations 23litres/100km.
This was all city driving in fairly heavy traffic, air con on constantly and minimum 2 people, 3 child seats and a pram.
The car is an Automatic AUII Station Wagon with 25000km's on it and a dedicated LPG "Green" factory engine.
After bagging out the live rear axle and leaf springs on wagons a few weeks ago, I went and bought one - couldn't see through the blue mist, again.
And on Wednesdays I took it for a spirited drive along the Bells Line, and had a ball.
Bye the way, consumption looked a lot better on the open road, after completing 280km of spirited driving the DTE (alright "Distance to Empty) was showing 650km's which is more what i would expect at about 12L/100km.
I have now switched to BP LPG to see if it makes any difference to performance/economy.
