Question IMPCO LPG Adaptive Digital Processor

I have just purchased an EB with LPG installed. It would not idle properly when on gas and I found the above module's fuse had blown. Replacing this bought the module alive and after a short time (learn period?) the idle is now ok. My question is does any one know anything about this module? I have not been able to find any info on the net. It has 2 Led's - red and green. The green one sometimes flashes while the red one has only come on once. There is a lack of info on the net about LPG so if any one has some info on how LPG installations work it would be appriciated.

Re: IMPCO LPG Adaptive Digital Processor

I have to be honest I've never heard of one, but then I don't usually play with EFi either. I would suggest looking on the impco australia page for an impco approved installer in your area and give them a call.

Cheers,

Re: IMPCO LPG Adaptive Digital Processor

I used to have something similiar fitted with an lpg setup on a vr commodore.

i cant remember exactly but the red light comes on in idle, and switchs to another L.E.D when accelerating. There are other LEDS that indicate wether the system is running in closed loop etc. Inside the box are a series of pots that are their for a technician to adjust settings to do with closed loop mode and other settings.

I hope this kinda helps but if it doesnt, next time u get your gas tune up, remember to ask them what it is :)

Re: IMPCO LPG Adaptive Digital Processor

Brooky, Flashing green LED indicates the duty cycle of the FCV's (fuel control valves).
The red LED indicates switching of the HEGO sensor. ON = lean Off = rich.
