I went to fill up with lpg today about lunch time at Goondiwindi ( temp would have been in the high 30Cs and the bowser would not pump.
nobody could get lpg ,all saying that the other 2 fuel shops in town that sell lpg were down as well. so most were getting petrol and just complaining about the extra cost.
mine is dedicated lpg and i did not have enought to make the 100km trip to the next stop so i was thinking i would have to stay there till tonight and the gas cooled down.
someone suggested that it could be the tanks in the cars , not the pump , and to try to cool the tank down.
got the fire hose out and hosed the gas tanks for about 10 minutes and you could feel that the tank was cooler with your hand so went back and tried it again and the pump fired up and i got my tank of gas.
might be a good trick to remember if you are out on a long trip on a hot day.
