Hi

I have a nf2 v8 fairlane just installed with a Lpg system.

I'm averaging 300k's per 55litres of gas (68 litre tank)
Is this satisfactory?

50% city and highway driving and when on gas, driving like a grandfather.

only been in there 4 days, does it get any better ?

Mine is around 15L/100k's, or 45/300 k's, but I use econ mode and a very light throttle, and no city driving.

Let it settle, the PCM might still be working things out.

i get 280km from 65L....pretty bad :(
Its on a CFI 4speed EA, 100%city driving

Thats about the consumption I get also, around 300 - 350 ks. Thats not really running it totally dry tho.

I would love to get rid of my gas, for the amount of headaches it has given me it is not worth the small savings on the fuel bill.

LOL! I did the same thing on my old EF! Just no saving for the extra amount of crap that I had to put up with. Eg overheating, poor performance, backfiring, water hosing leaking / exploding and this was all when the car was serviced and tuned correctly!

I ripped it out and sold the tank for $100 and kept the wiring and other fidlly bits for my taxis and other electrical work.

i get 450km's out of my EF with 50% highway 50% city,
600km's out of 100% highway
about 350km's out of 100% city, thats from a 65litre tank too.

I get about 450km's highway driving in my XF, and about 400km's city driving (but light on the go pedal) from about ~74lt (90lt tank)

In dollar terms, it costs me about $10 per 100km's.

I used to get just over 400 k's but now it's 380 ish.
I have noticed a slight degradation of the LPG that is used today. About a year ago, is was better, but have noticed that it's crap fuel running around at the moment.

Has anyone noticed that?

Walkinshaw : get it tuned, if the gas is over 2 % CO, u are just burning $$

I actually got 390K's out of a tank. i'm happy with that, its only a pissy little tank so its ok.

Only problem is now, is the 80% shutoff valve isn't working! I overfilled it and the gauge on the tank is in the danger area... uh oh..

time for a warranty visit.
