Hey all,
Haven't posted in a while but still catch up on all the goss. Had to tell all the EA falcon ppl who have gas systems that there is still hope for a moderate performance vehicle. Enough with the teasing, onto the modification. I had a CFI 3.9 EA on straight gas. I got tired of the stalling when I came to a stop so I decided to take it to the shop. My gas system is quite old so replacing al the parts would probably be costly so I decided that I had a bit of money to change it up. So I am converting the car over to a multipoint. Not an EB-ED multipoint but an EF multipoint system. I know a few of the blokes around have either done the conversion or are looking at doing it on petrol systems. The place that I took the car said that the conversion is easier if the car is on straight gas cos they don't need to change over all the fuel management systems cos the gas system works independently. Now its not going to be cheap, around $1600 bucks, but being on Gas I didn't want to take the risks. I will get back the car tomorrow so I will be able to tell you guys whether it was worth it or not, but it makes my EA kind of unique now I guess cos I haven't read about neone else doing it. Plan on coming out to a meet after its done. Been busy with work, always work on Fri, Sat and Sun, and do uni during the week, so doesn't leave much spare time. When uni break comes up, definatley catch up for a cruise.
