Hi all, I have an EL fairmont on LPG that when its driven on a hot day starts to stall in LPG, I also noticed the convertor had ice all over it after it was stalling the other day, is this related and what can i do to fix it?

make sure there is enough water and the hoses aint blocked, it could be the hoses that go to the converter go over ur exhaust and on hot days they may shrink and no water get through. im pretty sure thats when converters freez

Also, check your thermostat!.. If it is the same as the EA model, it has a small plate on the bottom of it, and when it gets hot, the thermostat opens, and the plate, restricts the hot water going through the heater, and that is where your LPG converter is connected... With less hot water going through the converter, it freezes up..... and you thought it was near impossible to freeze on a hot day........
