Why not just get a r134a retrofit?

$300 for a good one. I would imagine the LPG wouldnt mix with the oil in the compressor / hoses.

And the tires were smoking, like my car that time I forgot to drain the oil out before I put the new stuff in....

is it really worth it?
LPG in your aircon, being compressed, will reach over 80*C - imagine if it ignited...

Id prefer the conversion i think,

its already been converted long ago. im just looking for colder air. and lpg does mix well with the oils used in aircons apparently. anyones views on this who actualy have expeirience with it? cheers

Sorry no experience here, but I'm told it most certainly makes the air con very cold. Almost brought myself to try it in the EA, but didn't do it.

I think the pressures of straight LPG are more similar to R22 than R12/R134a and would be too high for a car air cond system. I had a RAC in my plantroom office once that was filled with LPG and worked beautifully, but RACs run R22.

not legal in nsw but works a treat
it is not straight lpg but has a addative in it for flamability
