The fasted I remember off hand was a white capri with a 351 that cut mid 10's.

Sounds good, but I recon ther'd be turbos, maybe even turbo 8's, that are quicker than that.

Jason Ghiller's Red XE ESP with a turbo 4.0Ltr AU Engine ran 10.43 on straight gas

Tony Seychelle's White 351 Powered Capri ran regular 11.5-11.4 sec times a couple of year back

I think there's a VL Turbo that has run into the high tens as well, if not low 11's

Johns car ran a 10.8 a few weeks ago. Its a turbo 6 XF falcon that is street legal.

there is a straight LPG turbo rotary that does high 9's

That would be great if you could racecraft. I am very interested in rotary LPG turbos; (see thread in general tech; Can rotaries be run on LPG?)

It would be cool if it was street legal, but at under 10 it is still very interesting indeed!

Actually that LPG turbo rotary is from WA, guys name Brett Glover and has run 8.90's 13b turbo in a datsun 1000
