It's the same motor/gearbox/diff as XT so why can't you option LPG?

Not the same engine as the e-gas XT.
E-gas engine is modified for gas exclusively.

Agree with the cheapening of XR image with e-gas eng. but did you know why dual fuel is not available on ulp barra 182. Rods will bend if the thing backfires. Xr6T and e-gas use the same toughened rods.

The E-Gas Engine is rated at a lower output than the regular 182 kW engine. Can you imagine an XR6 with a LOWER output than a regular Falcon. Besides, if you want to buy a sporting car, why would you strangle it with LPG?

Arg no make the XR6 N/A a real slug with 156 kw ?
Would be like putting a Ferrari on LPG oh my! No chance of me putting LPG on my SS I like it the way it is huh!

Don't have to compromise tune to satisfy both fuels. Until I read the manual (wife had car so next best thing to driving and I took it out knowing this), I didn't know that in my wagon you now winch down the spare tyre and there is no wheel storage accessed from inside. Won't have to empty load if ever get flat. Maybe duel fuel stuffs up design of fuel tank placement etc... although I think on e-gas wagons spare is still fitted inside rear rhs cargo area.(??)

Interesting,if the conrods don't bend on XF,EA,EB,ED,EF,EL & AU why would they bend on BA and also if there was a problem why would a company like Parnell fit gas to a BA knowing they would be liable if there was a problem.
The simple truth of the matter is Ford do not sell enough gas cars and it costs Ford money to convert cars to gas. It boils down to a simple case of profit.

I'd like to see the Marketing team who could sucessfully use the words 'Sports car' and 'LPG' in the same sentence. It would never work!! XR6 is not about economy.
