Supercharger v. Turbocharger

Does anyone know of any shops within the greater chicagoland area that would install a supercharger/turbocharger with all necessary components for an 07 Ford EDGE SEL AWD? Ideally, this place would also modify the brakes to fit bigger Brembo type brakes. If anyone has used a shop or has a recommendation, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kachook

Re: Supercharger v. Turbocharger

I can't refer a shop to you, however, you might require larger wheels to accommodate larger brakes unless the Brembo's are the same size as stockers. I'm almost certain that you won't be able to run more than 3-5psi of boost without affecting engine integrity on the 3.5 blocks. The 3.7 block is better suited to a turbo build as Ford has designed it that way as they plan to offer a turbo option on some of the future Lincoln models.

Re: Supercharger v. Turbocharger

A turbo charge on Future Lincoln models, cool. That means they may eventually offer it on everything. I can't refer a specific shop to you, but I had a friend who put similar modifications on his Ford, so I'm sure you can find a place in the greater Chicago area that will do this.
