Smile Palm Beach International Raceway FUN FORD WEEKEND!

Hey Guys! Check out this article on PBIR's Fun Ford Weekend coming up! It is on September 14-15.

Mustangs Stampede Palm Beach International Raceway’s Fun Ford Weekend
September 14 & 15
[On September 14 & 15 Fun Ford Weekend will take to the track at Palm Beach International Raceway for horsepower enthusiasts and fans alike.]
Jupiter, Fla. (August 21, 2012) Mom, apple pie and the Ford Mustang… these are symbols of America… of a simpler time. Before there was internet, Facebook and Twitter, there were horsepower, smoking tires and bragging rights. For nearly fifty years, the original “Pony Car” has reigned supreme as American’s favorite muscle car and racing machine. In honor of the iconic Ford Mustang, Palm Beach International Raceway will host Fun Ford Weekend September 14 and 15 presented by Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oils, Roushyates and JE Pistons.
Fun Ford Weekend will unleash horsepower frenzy as hundreds of mustangs thunder down the drag strip. The event delivers fans unbeatable gear-slamming, pavement-pounding, edge-of-your-seat racing experience as Fords, Pro-Mods Jet Cars and Wheelstanders rumble and race down the drag strip reaching tire-smoking speeds of over 300 miles per hour. Anyone without a Ford can still get in on the fun by pitting their American muscle car against the Ford Mustangs in the Steeda Autosports sponsored heads-up “Pony Wars.”
Mustang mania will take over the entire facility from racing on the quarter-mile drag strip to the two-mile road course hosting the “Mustang Triathlon” sponsored by the Palm Beach Mustang Club and Muscle Mustangs Magazine. The triathlon will feature three challenges including an autocross on the road course, speed brake challenge and heads up drag racing.
“Palm Beach International Raceway gives families in the Palm Beach Country area an experience unlike no other,” says Jason Rittenberry, President & CEO of PBIR. “Not many people are fortunate enough to have high-speed racing right in their backyard. A day at the races offers family fun that cannot be matched by going to the movie theater or the beach.”

[Up and coming South Florida country band, Cecilia Lauren & the Ocoee River Band, will be playing their hit “Country Girls Do It Better” at Palm Beach International Raceway’s Fun Ford Weekend.]
In addition to the racing action, horsepower enthusiasts and families alike will enjoy an “All American” family weekend with a car and truck show, swap meet, vendor midway and live entertainment. As Fun Ford Weekend’s media sponsor, South Florida’s Country Music Station 103.1 WIRK presents up and coming country stars Kristi Templin singing the national anthem, Cecilia Lauren and the Ocoee River Band performing their hit song, “Country Girls Do It Better,” and live performance by Lexi Luca.
Fun Ford Weekend at Palm Beach International Raceway will also play host to a benefit fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. The Boys & Girls Club offers underprivileged children programs and services that promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. Throughout the day on Saturday September 15, families will be able to enter raffles for the chance to win big prizes and fans of racing can take a ride in a Beat the Heat race car or take a turn in the high-speed go-karts at the MRP kart center.
On Saturday September 15 Gates open at 8:00 a.m. and Pre-Race Ceremonies begin at 12:30 p.m. and Spectator Tickets are $25 and children 12 and under are Free.
