Hi all and thanks for letting me join the forum,
I own a 1.3 Ford Escort Encore, at the moment it is over reving when i slow down after i have been driving for a while , when you pull up you can hear the engine reving up then lowering back down again fuel is not lasting as long as it should I could really do with some help. I have checked the basics like air and oil filters plus spark plugs and all look ok.

1.3 engines are known to have TPS and wiring loom problems that cause the rpms to stay high between gearchanges. Sometimes this won't even log a code (unless the TPS is faulty). Test your TPS and if it's good look for high resistance in the connectors between TPS and PCM. Hope this helps, cheers
