ok i have a 88 mercury cougar 3.8 v6 auto with 73k miles i was woundering if they sell a performane chip for this? id like to get some extra hp out of this motor im going to see about a 2-1/2'' dual exhaust no cats just mufflers. But is there any other way of getting some hp? thats not going to involve tare down or major $$?

I just checked they said they had nothing for my car ,but i ran into another prob i need the y-pipe off each manifold but i cant find one that sells with out the converter with it? i dont need the convert just the y-pipe anyone knows where i can get one??

2 1/2 inch pipe is too big for that motor. Actually a 2 inch is too big. You only have 140 H.P.

ok but im trying to find a factory size Y-pipe with out buying the cat. Cant seem to find it at all :/ just plan from going off the ypipe stright to performance muffler then out the back.
