Hey guys. i'm new to the scene but this is an awsome place for info on my new falcon.
Anyways its bf xr6 and i've noticed that the steering pulls pretty hard to the left, also, if the car is jacked up or on a hoist the wheels turn to the left as soon as i start it. is there somthing wrong with my rack (ha ha) but no seriously is there????
Hi
If your car hasn't been in an accident or any kind of hit that may have damaged any of the steering components, and assuming the correct oil has been used, etc, then yes, possibly one of the valves inside the rack is sticking
marc
the car has had minor water damage. so this would probably have something to do with it. is there any way i can rectify it without re building the whole rack???
Hi mate
If by "minor water damage" you mean "there's a chance that water got inside the power steering system", then flushing the system a couple of times with fresh oil should get rid of the problem...assuming there hasn't been any permanent internal damage done. I would try this before any replacing or rebuilding of parts. cheers

tried flushing a few times but the car is still turning to left when i start it. I think its time for a rack. My guess is one of the valves is stuck and flushing might not help.
