I've lost my master key with the immobiliser chip for my 2000 ford ka. My spare key will open the doors but wont start the car - what can I do??
NRMA came out and attempted every method they could think of including clutch starting it, they also checked the battery to make sure that wasn't the problem. I'm completely lost not sure what to do. I sent Ford an email through their website but haven't heard anything as yet.
I've been told by a friend that I can order a replacement from ford if i give them the VIN number is this right? If so does anyone know how much this will cost?
NRMA suggested I get towed to one of their mechanic centres so that an auto electrician can disable the immobilliser - is this the best thing to do? I'm so confused!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
