Re: need ideas for more power on a nf fairlane

how fast does your wallet want to go? everything you need is available online for these.

if you really want to go faster forget the standard computer. what happens is, any minor changes (fuel or exhaust) and the computer has a hissy fit.

after you have done that as its the most expensive on your list, any other mods you do to the engne are a lot cheaper.

forget the borg warner diff at the back and swap it for a 9 inch. if you after serious power as the AODe auto. but you can get the aod rebult into a proper racing gearbox. it just takes away the false overdrive gear and will support up to 1200hp.

back to the engine, the easiest and cheapest way to make power is a actually a stroker kit. 1500 bucks and you will have a 347 cubic inches.

next on my list is aftermarket heads when ported, polished and planed will flow really well

then a well designed set of extractors and exhaust let the engine breathe

and a edelbrock 302 efi set up. for breathing in cold air

yes if you do all of these all at once it adds up. but easiest way is do it in stages.

HOMER: can do things the right way, the wrong way or the MAX POWER way!
LISA: isnt the max power way the wrong way?
HOMER: yes but, FASTER!
