dieselbugg Registered User Join Date: Aug 2012 Posts: 1	1967 Cougar transmission swap Good day everyone, ok here is my question. I have a 1967 Mercury Cougar with a 289 Hi Po, automatic. I would like to take the manual from my 1970 Ford Maverick and put it in the Cougar, the maverick has an inline 6. Will all the Manual components swap over? ex: Shifting linkage, clutch peddles, and everything else? It's a side loader 3 speed if I am not mistaken, and is on the tree shift, so I already know I will need floor sifter linkage. Thank you!
