Motortrend has confirmed that Ford will be releasing two F-150 sub compact models, the F-100 pickup and Ranger replacement model. We first covered the story last month, and can now confirm that the F-100, nicknamed "P525", will not be featuring a V8 engine, but will have a four cylinder and six cylinder EcoBoost engine option. The Ranger replacement which is nicknamed T6, is also known as the "Global Ranger" and will be built in either South Africa or Mexico to avoid "chicken taxes", an import tax. Don't get too excited for these two new trucks though, as they are not expected to become a reality till 2010 or 2011.
