Dings in window panels - Ford Forums

I bought my Flex in December. A couple of months ago, I noticed that there were dings in each of the window panels. They all seemed to be in the exact same place. It looks like an interior screw was over-torqued or something.

After doing a little research on other forums, I found that this is an issue that a number of Flex owners have seen. One site actually mentioned a bulletin # 20548 (Ford Flex .net - View topic - Bulletin # 20548) that was issued for this problem.

I took my car to the dealer today for an oil change and brought the dings up. They said they would check the cars they have in stock to see if all of them were like that. Well, needless to say.... all of them had the dings in the window panel. I was told since it's on every Flex, they can't do anything about it.

Does anyone else have these dings? Is there anything we can do to get this fixed? When they returned my car to me this afternoon (after a car wash), the ding in the rear driver side was VERY noticeable.

Hello,
Yes - there was a problem with the early Flex builds having the dings. My dealer replaced mine with the bulletin you were referring to. Just tell them to contact Ford and use that number - they will replace all of the bad ones at no charge. Hope this helps.
