Can anyone tell me the load capacity of the 2006 Freestyle?

By this I mean the cargo weight inside the car with all of the rear
seats folded flat. And NOT towing a trailer.

There's a label on the door that gives the load capacity and it depends on installed options. Check starting on page 176 of your owners manual for info. Here's a link to the manual if you don't have one. http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pub.../06219og2e.pdf

Base curb weight Freestyle FWD is 3959lbs, AWD is 4112lbs plus options/trim level.
Gross vehicle weight rating is 5379lbs. Makes for a maximum payload of 1420lbs for base model 2wd and 1267lbs maximum for base model AWD.

Also... max towing is 2K.

lucky.. it doesnt go back far enough for my cars... i am sure i have overloaded them a few times... dragging cars from ditches, loading trunk and back seat with firewood to point the rear was about dragging... either way... they helped and hope what you are trying to do isnt too much on your vehicle
