Small update went with Gibson Exhaust for sound reasons :-X22 ... Nice low rumble with NO drone. Single 3 inch from y pipe back.
Intake will go on in a week or so... ++

Update!

Went to install intake today and it would not fit under cowl . I knew it was going to be close.. it was like a door stop under the cowl and i was not ready to beat back the cowl just yet , so need to think a while on what we need to do.

Ok plan B, It looks like we can maybe mill or remove the back half ridges off the top of the intake and give that a try.. More to come in a week or so..

Update!

Intake is installed and running :) Its not has easy as the mustang swap to install. Coolant lines and vacuum lines need to be reworked to clean up engine bay but i wanted to get it running by days end. After install did a basic retune for intake and did some driving. Initial butt dyno says small torque loss but up top its a beast!!! Put it this way i have never been able to bark the tires from tip in and 1-2 shift and it does now. I tried 3 times in the shade too. I hope its a good sign there is more power. And by the way truck has nothing but 87 octane gas in it.

I should be able to get on dyno some time this week and report back some numbers of what the real deal is.. Sorry again for the delays .

Ok guys dynod truck tonight and will have some graphs tomorrow.
100 F in shop, hot as heck arrrgggg

Did 4 runs back to back on 87 octane fuel.......................


Summary:
tip in gains are 15-20 hp/tq 2000-3000 rpms
mid range loss 15-20 hp/tq 3500-4400 rpms
upper rpm gained 15-20 hp/tq. 5000- 6800 rpms +
These are real world numbers no smoking mirrors. Just bolt it on and go... pretty much..


Biggest surprise is on tip in we gain hp/tq on 87 cheap gas.. I knew there was a reason we would bark them on tip in


We still need to fine tune a/f a tad and play with cam ...with tune...


I will sleep good tonight... :)
