Any ideas on why the cruise control won't operate above 60mph? Set it while going 65mph, but the car slows to 60mph before the cruise control engages. Manual says it should engage up to 85mph.
Check them first along their full length. Look for holes in the sheath or the wire at either end unbraiding. Also check that they have not previously been broken and shortened; i.e. the have the cast on lead ball at the end not a screw on cable stop.
that unit uses a vacuum transducer and an electronic module. Your vacuum has to be
within specs and your speedometer has to be within specs. My money is on the module.
Had the same problem. And NO you don't have a clock spring just incase someone says so. You have carbon brushes that get dirty. one extra from the horn on the horn ring.
Could you point out what each piece does and all? Just want to understand why, is all. Not really familiar with cruise controld systems.
I also forgot one thing, maybe relevant, maybe not. If I accelerate beyond 60mph using the steering wheel controls, it will still coast back down to 60mph before re-engaging.
Yeah, that's my usual. They're out of stock last I looked.
