I was looking through some of the Buddy Holly apartment recordings that I have and came across this one. It was recorded the day before the Winter Dance Party tour began, 12 days before he died. In the background you can hear what sounds like someone frying food. I'm guessing his wife, Maria Elena Santiago, was cooking. I'm betting this was the last day he spent at his home and with his wife.
