I made a crank case for one of those many years ago. One of the guys on our sub picked up on cheap as te crank had a hole in it from being laid down and he couldn't find one. Handed me a hunk of aluminum and I managed to mill out something. It sealed, didn't say "Norton" and it was ugly, but it gave him some riding time until he could get to the swap meets. One of my more interesting projects.
Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?
Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?
