Tennis : First Brit , first Pole to reach final
Agnieszka Radwanska has confirmed she intends to play in Saturday's Wimbledon final against Serena Williams despite falling ill. "Unfortunately I have picked up an upper respiratory illness, which is affecting my nose and throat. She became the first Pole for 75 years to reach a Wimbledon singles final by overcoming the German 6-3 6-4.
The last player from her country to do so was Jadwiga Jedrzejowska in 1937, who lost to Britain's Dorothy Round.
Andy Murray became the first British ( Scottish) player to reach the men's singles final at Wimbledon since 1938 after a 6-3 6-4 3-6 7-5 victory over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Murray will now have to beat six-time Wimbledon winner Roger Federer on Sunday if he is to become Britain's first men's champion since Fred Perry 76 years ago.
A few coincidences between them , would be nice to see a double win for them both but a couple of very , very hard opponents to beat .
