Love the Viper, but it always reminds me of one of my favorite smart-ass stories. Back in '95 there was a first gen Viper running around in a near-by town. No idea who it was that owned it, but it was obvious that he was pretty well off and he was always yacking on a cell while driving (still legal then). One fine sumer day, I'm driving around in a POS '87 Ford Taurus MT-5 (remember those?), beige, no less, that saw better days in '91 when, who should pull up next to me at a stop light, but Mr. Viper talking on his cell phone.

I don't know what cam over me, but I suddenly had to gun the motor a few times and Mr. Viper stopped talking in almost disbelief and slowly looked over at me. He lowered his Oakleys, looked down at the car, up at me, then back down at the car. Giving a sigh, he pushed his glasses back up with his middle finger, and slowly turned back to the road ahead and resumed his talking.

Yeah, I had been dissed, but I had to laugh.

Nowadays if that kind of situation arises , I just smile , give him the thumbs up and say " nice car " Usually gets a good response though it's hard to smile through clenched teeth while your saying " lucky b****** ".
